Governor Granholm Announces New Appointments

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments to the Michigan Aeronautics Commission, State Board of Accountancy, and the State Higher Education Facilities Commission:

Michigan Aeronautics Commission

Terry Everman, of Flushing, a licensed pilot for over twenty years. Mr. Everman succeeds Frederick Rakunas whose term has expired and is appointed for a term expiring May 27, 2007.

Eric Smith, of Northville Township, an attorney and public administrator for Wayne County. Mr. Smith succeeds the late Alice Gustafson and is appointed for a term expiring May 27, 2007. 

State Board of Accountancy

Sally Fedus, of Plymouth, a retired licensed professional counselor and certified rehabilitation counselor.  Ms. Fedus is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring June 30, 2007. She succeeds Samuel P. Graci whose term has expired.

Robert Sher, of West Bloomfield, a chief financial officer and partner with Schostak Brothers & Company.  Mr. Sher is appointed to represent certified public accountants for a term expiring June 30, 2007.  He succeeds Richard Fabiano whose term has expired.

State Higher Education Facilities Commission

Herbert Kehrl, of Monroe, a licensed realtor with Edward Surovell Realtors.  Mr. Kehrl is appointed to represent the residents of the state for a term expiring May 22, 2007.  He succeeds Matt Milosch who has resigned.

James Woolfolk, of Saginaw, trustee for the Saginaw Board of Education and former president of the Michigan Association of School Boards.  Mr. Woolfolk is appointed to represent the residents of the state for a term expiring May 22, 2007.  He succeeds Dr. Marylee Davis whose term has expired. 

All appointments require advice and consent of the Senate.
