Governor Granholm Appoints Charles Goodman Judge of Houghton County Probate Court

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Charles Goodman of Houghton as Judge of Houghton County Probate Court.
“Charles is dedicated to serving Michigan and the people of Houghton County,” Granholm said. “He has a strong passion for, and a deep knowledge of, the justice system.”
Goodman most recently served as an attorney and partner with Goodman & Makinen with an emphasis in civil litigation.
Goodman earned his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and his bachelor’s of science degree from Michigan Technological University.
He replaces Judge John Mikkola who has retired. His term expires January 1, 2005.
