LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Michael Mack of Alpena as Judge of Montmorency County Probate Court.
“Michael will make an outstanding judge for the citizens of Montmorency,” Granholm said. “He has a great love of the law and will serve the court with a tremendous amount of dignity and integrity.”
Mack is currently an attorney and partner with Boyce, White, Werth & Mack. This appointment is a part-time judgeship, so he will continue to practice with his firm. However, his firm is not permitted to take probate or family practice cases in Montmorency County.
Mack earned his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and his bachelor’s of arts degree from the University of Michigan Dearborn.
He replaces Judge Robert P.M. Nordstrom who has retired. His term expires January 1, 2005.
