LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced appointments to the Correctional Officers’ Training Council and the Michigan Board of Dentistry.
Correctional Officer’s Training Council
Timothy McCormick, of Lansing, is the Director of Organizational Development for the Department of Management and Budget. McCormick succeeds Craig Yaldoo whose term has expired. He is appointed to represent the Department of Management and Budget for a term expiring March 29, 2006.
Michigan Board of Dentistry
Jo Ann Bucheister CDA, R.D.A., B.S., of Troy, is an instructor for the Wayne County Community College District and president of the Macomb Dental Education Center. Bucheister succeeds Betty Finkbeiner whose term has expired. She is appointed to represent dental assistants for a term expiring June 30, 2007.
Jane F. Halaris, R.D.H, of Macomb, is a licensed clinical hygienist and adjunct instructor at the University of Detroit Mercy. Halaris succeeds Ginger Granger whose term has expired. She is appointed to represent dental hygienists for a term expiring June 30, 2007.
Amy C. Parker, D.D.S., M.S., of Beverly Hills, is a pediatric dentist and the attending dentist at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Parker succeeds William Bloom whose term has expired. She is appointed to represent dentists with a health profession specialty certification for a term expiring June 30, 2007.
Solomon K. Pesis, D.D.S., of Milford, is president and managing partner of Pesis Dental Group, P.C. Pesis succeeds Gale Thomas whose term has expired. He is appointed to represent dentists for a term expiring June 30, 2007.
Verne M. Primack D.D.S., of Saginaw, is a self-employed dentist. Primack succeeds Hank Fuhs, Jr., whose term has expired. He is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring June 30, 2007.
Martin J. Tuck, D.D.S., of East Lansing, is a dentist specializing in endodontics. Tuck is reappointed to represent dentists with a health profession specialty certification for a term expiring June 30, 2007.
All of the above appointments require advice and consent of the Senate.
