Governor Granholm Announces Judicial Appointments

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following judicial appointments to the 3rd Judicial Circuit Court, the 36th Judicial District Court, and the 29th Judicial District Court.
Mr. David J. Allen of Detroit is appointed as Judge of the 3rd Judicial Circuit Court in Wayne County. Allen succeeds the Honorable Judge Kym L. Worthy who has resigned. He is appointed for a term effective December 22, 2003, and expiring at noon January 1, 2005.
Ms. Beatrice Pennie Millender of Detroit is appointed as Judge of the 36th Judicial District Court in the City of Detroit. Millender succeeds the Honorable Theresa Doss who has retired. She is appointed for a term effective December 17, 2003 and expiring at noon on January 1, 2005.
Ms. Laura Redmond Mack of Wayne is appointed as Judge of the 29th Judicial District Court in the City of Wayne. Mack succeeds the Honorable Carolyn Archbold who has resigned. She is appointed for a term effective January 12, 2003 and expiring at noon on January 1, 2005.
“These individuals possess an enormous amount of passion for both the law and for serving the citizens of Michigan,” Granholm said.
