Governor Granholm Announces Appointments to the New Qualifications Advisory Committee

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced the following recent appointments to the new Qualifications Advisory Committee. These appointments reflect the additional members that were added to the committee under Executive Order 2003-18.
Mary (Libby) Child of Grand Rapids, senior consultant of workers’ compensation and disability matters at Varnum Consulting, LLC. Ms. Child is appointed to represent employer interests for a term expiring December 7, 2007.
Regina Meo of Lake Orion, attorney, Regina L. Meo, P.C. Ms. Meo is appointed to represent employee interests for a term expiring December 7, 2007.
David Radtke of Ferndale, attorney and partner at Klimist, McKnight, Sale, McClow & Canzano, P.C. Mr. Radtke is appointed to represent employee interests for a term expiring December 7, 2007.
Jack Wheatley of Birmingham, former acting director of the Michigan Unemployment Agency and assistant general counsel for General Motors Corporation. Mr. Wheatley is appointed to represent employer interests for a term expiring December 7, 2007.
The committee reviews and rates applicants interested in serving on the Workers' Compensation Board of Magistrates and Workers’ Compensation Appellate Commission.
These appointments are not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
