Granholm Appoints Richard Skutt to 3rd Circuit Court

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced the recent appointment of Richard M. Skutt to the Wayne County 3rd Circuit Court.
Skutt, of Detroit, is a shareholder of Glotta, Skutt & Associates, P.C. A graduate of E.W. Seaholm High School in Birmingham, Skutt received his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1969 and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University in 1972.
“Dick will be an outstanding judge for the people of Michigan,” Granholm said. “He has a great passion and love for the law. I know he will serve the court and the citizens with honesty and integrity.”
He replaces Judge Richard P. Hathaway who has resigned. Skutt’s term will expire January 1, 2007.
