Governor Granholm Designates Chair of State Community Corrections Board

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm recently designated Larry C. Inman of Williamsburg to continue to serve as chairperson of the State Community Corrections Board. Inman is vice president of corporate banking for Huntington National Bank in Traverse City. His term as chairperson will expire July 14, 2005.
The State Community Corrections Board advises the Director of Corrections in developing goals, criteria, and guidelines for local governments in establishing community corrections programs. The board also determines grant guidelines for comprehensive corrections plans which are intended to provide safe, cost-effective alternatives to incarceration.
This designation is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
