LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following recent appointments to the Commission on Spanish Speaking Affairs and Investment Advisory Committee:
Commission on Spanish Speaking Affairs
Esmeralda Rodriguez of Shelby, mental health advocate for farmworkers, and agency interpreter at West Michigan Community Mental Health Systems. Ms. Rodriguez is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 31, 2006. She succeeds Teresa Lamb who has resigned.
Investment Advisory Committee
Marina von Neumann Whitman of Ann Arbor, professor of business administration and public policy for the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan. Ms. Whitman is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 15, 2006. She succeeds James B. Henry whose term has expired.
These appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
