Governor Granholm Makes Appointments to Governor's Traffic Safety Advisory Commission

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointment and reappointment to the Governor’s Traffic Safety Advisory Commission:
David E. Stamm II of Grand Blanc, chief of police of Grand Blanc Township Police Department. Chief Stamm is appointed to represent local units of government for a term expiring May 27, 2005. He succeeds Gary Gibbons who has resigned.
Allen L. Byam of Marshall, sheriff for Calhoun County. Sheriff Byam is reappointed to represent local units of government for a term expiring May 27, 2007.
The Governor’s Traffic Safety Advisory Commission works to identify traffic safety challenges and develops, promotes, and implements strategies to address those challenges.
These appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
