December 10, 2004
December 10, 2004
LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today ordered flags lowered to half-staff within the State Capitol Complex beginning today in honor of former State Representative Frank Fitzgerald who passed away this morning. The flags will be lowered until the day of interment.
Governor Granholm issued the following statement on Representative Fitzgerald:
"Frank Fitzgerald was an honorable human being who upheld a long-standing family tradition of public service with honor and distinction. In an era when politics and government are too often rife with partisanship, he stood out as a true model of civility. We mourn his loss and extend our deepest sympathy to his family."
