Governor Appoints Curtis Bell Probate Judge for Kalamazoo County

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of attorney Curtis J. Bell as Probate Judge for Kalamazoo County.
Bell, of Kalamazoo, most recently practiced law at his firm, Bell & Associates, and was an adjunct professor at Western Michigan University. Earlier in his career, Bell worked as a court-appointed attorney in the Circuit Court’s Juvenile Division and served as Deputy Township Supervisor in Oshtemo Township in Kalamazoo County.
Bell earned his law degree from University of Iowa College of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
Bell replaces the Honorable Carolyn J. Williams who has retired. His term is effective February 28, 2005 and expires January 1, 2007.
