LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today issued the following statement on the passing of Max Fisher.

"Today, Michigan and Detroit lost a great friend. Max Fisher had soaring optimism and soaring vision, and he lifted Detroit to new heights. The City was his enduring love, and to it he gave so much of his life’s work. For all his talents and gifts, Max will be long missed and never forgotten."
