Governor Granholm Announces New Appointments

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following recent appointments to the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy and Michigan Board of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery:
Michigan Board of Physical Therapy
Elizabeth Mostrom of Grand Rapids, director of clinical education and professor at Central Michigan University. Ms. Mostrom is appointed to represent physical therapists for a term expiring December 31, 2007. She succeeds Linda S. Rice whose term has expired.
David W. Perry, PT, MS of Grosse Pointe Woods, therapy manager for Henry Ford Home Health Care. Mr. Perry is reappointed to represent physical therapists for a term expiring December 31, 2007.
Michigan Board of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery
Tara L. Scott, DPM of Southfield, president of the Foot & Heel Pain Institute of Michigan. Dr. Scott is appointed to represent podiatrists for a term expiring June 30, 2007. She succeeds Karen Potchynok-Lund whose term has expired.
These appointments are subject to Article V, Section 6 of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. They stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Senate within 60 days.
