LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments:
Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Control Commission
Daryl K. Gallant of Brighton, assistant training director and lead training manager for Michigan Laborer’s Training and Apprenticeship Institute. Mr. Gallant is appointed to represent certified lead-abatement contractors for a term expiring July 1, 2007.
Clay B. Powell of Kentwood, director of the Rental Property Owners Association of Kent County. Mr. Powell is appointed as a member of the general public representing owners and developers for a term expiring July 1, 2007.
The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Control Commission is charged with leading a statewide effort to eliminate lead poisoning in Michigan’s children by 2010 by offering a wide range of initiatives and concrete recommendations for future policy direction.
State Building Authority Board of Trustees
Patrick J. Devlin of Livonia, secretary and treasurer of the Greater Detroit Building & Construction Trades Council. Mr. Devlin is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring August 21, 2006. He succeeds Robert Ramussen who has resigned.
Mark E. Schlussel of Southfield, partner with Schlussel & Schefmann, PLLC law firm. Mr. Schlussel is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring August 21, 2008. He succeeds Byron P. Gallagher, Jr. whose term has expired.
The State Building Authority Board of Trustees oversees the use and allocation of funds to acquire, construct, furnish, equip, renovate, operate, mortgage, and/or maintain facilities and equipment for the use of the State or any of its agencies, including public universities and community colleges.
Michigan Board of Psychology
Robert M. Hack of West Bloomfield, owner of Associates in Mental Health. Mr. Hack is appointed to represent psychologists for a term expiring December 31, 2008. He succeeds Aija Lubavs whose term has expired.
Dane K. Ver Merris, Ed.D. of Grand Rapids, licensed psychologist in private practice. Dr. Ver Merris is appointed to represent psychologists for a term expiring December 31, 2008. He succeeds Jack Haynes whose term has expired.
The Michigan Board of Psychology provides for the licensure and examination of psychologists in the state.
Board of Real Estate Appraisers
Darius W. Dynkowski of Clinton Township, attorney with Ackerman & Ackerman, P.C. law firm. Mr. Dynkowski is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring June 30, 2009. He succeeds Peter C. Cubba whose term has expired.
Donn M. Fresard of Grosse Pointe Woods, chief of staff for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. Mr. Fresard is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring June 30, 2008. He succeeds Julie Knight whose term has expired.
Jumana Judeh of Dearborn Heights, president of Judeh & Associates real estate appraisal and consulting firm. Ms. Judeh is appointed to represent certified general real estate appraisers for a term expiring June 30, 2009. She succeeds David Maturen whose term has expired.
David C. Molenaar of East Lansing, owner of Molenaar & Associates real estate appraisal firm. Mr. Molenaar is appointed to represent certified residential real estate appraisers for a term expiring June 30, 2009. He succeeds John Craig whose term has expired.
The Board of Real Estate Appraisers provides for the licensure of state licensed and state certified real estate appraisers and real estate valuation specialists.
These appointments are subject to Article V, Section 6 of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. They stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Senate within 60 days.
