Governor Granholm Designates Thomas Hall Acting State Employer

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the designation of Thomas Hall, of Okemos, as acting state employer. Mr. Hall is currently deputy director of the Office of the State Employer (OSE) where he oversees and assists in the development and implementation of statewide policies in labor relations, employee health management and other areas under OSE authority.
Mr. Hall has been an employee of OSE for more than 25 years. He holds a bachelor’s of arts degree from the University of Michigan and a Master’s of Labor and Industrial Relations degree from Michigan State University.
Mr. Hall will oversee all collective bargaining, labor-management relations, and other employee services for Michigan’s more than 50,000 state workers
This designation is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
