LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today issued the following statement:
"There continues to be a high degree of media speculation regarding Ford's Way Forward announcement and how that announcement will impact Ford's Wixom facility," Granholm said. "I and my administration continue to be in regular contact with Ford officials related to any impact on Michigan facilities. The company has not provided any specific information about its plans, however, and has made clear that they will not be providing details prior to the announcement on Monday. I remain hopeful that Michigan facilities will not be impacted, but I will not speculate on the outcome."
Granholm met with Ford officials last week and outlined incentives for keeping jobs in Michigan. She said she will continue to work with Ford as details of the plan are released.
