Granholm Appoints Darlene O'Brien Judge of Washtenaw County Probate Court

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Darlene O’Brien as Washtenaw County Probate Judge.
O’Brien, of Ann Arbor, most recently served as attorney and managing member of O’Brien & O’Brien PLC. O’Brien’s community service includes serving as a board member for the Neutral Zone Teen Center and the Center for Occupational & Personalized Education (COPE).
O’Brien earned her law degree from the Notre Dame Law School and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo.
O’Brien replaces Judge John Kirkendall who has retired. Her term expires January 1, 2007.
This appointment is not subject to disapproval.
