Granholm Makes Wayne County Judicial Appointments

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments to the 3rd Circuit Court, serving Wayne County, and the 36th District Court, serving the city of Detroit:
3rd Circuit Court
Hon. Deborah Ross Adams of Detroit, judge of the 36th District Court serving the city of Detroit. Judge Adams is appointed to replace The Honorable William Leo Cahalan who has resigned.
36th District Court
Ruth Carter of Detroit, most recently served as corporation counsel for the city of Detroit. Ms. Carter previously served as an assistant Wayne County prosecutor. She is appointed to replace The Honorable Deborah Ross Adams who was appointed to the 3rd Circuit Court.
Roberta Archer of Detroit, most recently served as an assistant Wayne County prosecutor in the Trial Division. Ms. Archer is appointed to replace The Honorable Trudy DunCombe Archer who has resigned.
Cylenthia LaToye Miller of Detroit, most recently served as director of the city of Detroit Employment & Training Department, a Michigan Works! Agency. Ms. Miller previously served as assistant general counsel to Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. Ms. Miller is appointed to replace The late Honorable Ted Wallace.
These terms expire January 1, 2007. These appointments are not subject to senate disapproval.
