Governor Granholm Appoints Shulman to Utility Consumer Participation Board

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Marc I. Shulman to the Utility Consumer Participation Board.  Mr. Shulman, of West Bloomfield, is COO of TVS Communications Solutions, and counsel for Simon, Galasso, & Frantz, PLC.
 
Mr. Shulman is appointed to represent qualified persons submitted by the attorney general for a term expiring January 11, 2009. He succeeds the late Stanley Steinborn.

The Utility Consumer Participation Board ensures equitable representation of the interests of energy utility customers by awarding and disbursing grants to local units of government or nonprofits seeking to intervene on behalf of residential ratepayers in gas and electric utilities.
 
This appointment is not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.
