Granholm Makes Appointments to Mackinac Bridge Authority

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced today the following recent appointments to the Mackinac Bridge Authority:
R. Dan Musser III of Petoskey, president of the Grand Hotel. Mr. Musser is appointed to represent Republicans for a term expiring June 30, 2012. He succeeds Angelo Lanni whose term has expired.
Robert C. Struck of Marquette, Marquette county commissioner. Mr. Struck is appointed to represent Republicans for a term expiring June 30, 2008. He succeeds William Gnodtke who has resigned.
William Gnodtke of Charlevoix. Mr. Gnodtke is appointed to represent Republicans for a term expiring June 30, 2012. He succeeds Elsa Schaller whose term has expired.
The Mackinac Bridge Authority creates rules and regulations in order to provide and maintain a system of services to ensure the safe operation of the Mackinac Bridge.
These appointments are subject to Section 6 of Article V of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. They stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Michigan Senate within 60 days.
