Governor Granholm Makes Appointments

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following recent appointments to the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy:
Vijay Kumar of West Branch, physical therapist for Community Rehabilitation Services, P.C. Mr. Kumar is appointed to represent physical therapists for a term expiring December 31, 2008. He succeeds Helene M. Rosen whose term has expired.
Jill A. Marlan of Mason, director of physical therapy for Lansing Spine and Extremity Rehabilitation. Ms. Marlan is appointed to represent physical therapists for a term expiring December 31, 2009. She succeeds Namrata Sunder whose term has expired.
Andrew G. May of Lansing, president and physical therapist for Capitol Area Physical Therapy Associates, Inc. Mr. May is appointed to represent physical therapists for a term expiring December 31, 2009. He succeeds Steven D. Mandley whose term has expired.
The Michigan Board of Physical Therapy provides for the licensure and examination of persons prior to their entry into the practice of physical therapy.
These appointments are subject to Article V, Section 6 of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. They stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Senate within 60 days.
