Granholm Appoints Bahrman to U.P. State Fair Board of Managers

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Barry J. Bahrman to the Upper Peninsula State Fair Board of Managers. Bahrman, of Skandia, is president of Bahrman's Farm LLC and West Branch Township Supervisor.
Mr. Bahrman is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring September 30, 2011. He succeeds Joanne M. Stefl whose term has expired.
The Upper Peninsula State Fair Board of Managers is responsible for controlling the lands and properties of the state designated for the purpose of holding and conducting an agricultural and industrial state fair in the Upper Peninsula.
This appointment is subject to Article V, Section 6 of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. It stands confirmed unless disapproved by the Senate within 60 days.
