Governor Granholm Makes Appointments to Lake Superior State University Board of Control

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments to the Lake Superior State University Board of Control:
Jenny L. Kronk of Petoskey, associate tribal judge for the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians. Ms. Kronk is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring January 27, 2014. She succeeds Devereaux Trepp whose term has expired.
E. Gary Toffolo of Sault Ste. Marie, retired. Mr. Toffolo is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring January 27, 2014. He succeeds Linda M. Brown whose term has expired.
The Lake Superior State University Board of Control is the governing body for Lake Superior State University. The board oversees the conduct of the university's affairs, has control of the university's property, and has the ability to fix tuition and other fees, appoint and remove personnel, and determine compensation to be paid for services and property.
These appointments are subject to Section 6 of Article V of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. They stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Michigan Senate within 60 days.
