Governor Granholm Appoints Theodore Lakkides to Michigan Board of Cosmetology

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced the recent appointment of Theodore Lakkides to the Michigan Board of Cosmetology. Lakkides, of Waterford, is president of Cygnet Financial Freedom House.
The Board of Cosmetology provides for the licensing and regulation of cosmetologists, cosmetology schools, instructors, electrologists, and manicurists.
Mr. Lakkides is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 31, 2010. He succeeds Charlene Donofrio who has resigned.
This appointment is subject to Section 6 of Article V of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. It stands confirmed unless disapproved by the Michigan Senate within 60 days.
