Granholm Appoints Waldman to Civil Service Commission

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the recent appointment of Bryan J. Waldman to the Civil Service Commission. Waldman, of Okemos, is a partner and attorney with Sinus, Dramis, Brake, Boughton & McIntyre, P.C.
Mr. Waldman is appointed to represent Democrats for a term expiring December 31, 2014. He succeeds James P. Pitz whose term has expired.
The Civil Service Commission is responsible for examining candidates for state jobs on the basis of merit, efficiency and fitness; classifying all positions; and determining the pay for each position.
This appointment is not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.
