Governor Granholm Makes Appointments to Central Michigan University Board of Control

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments to the Central Michigan University Board of Control:
Brian W. Fannon of Novi, chief operating officer of Sun Communities. Mr. Fannon is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 31, 2014. He succeeds Roger Kesseler whose term has expired.
Jacqueline N. Garrett of Detroit, retired. Ms. Garrett is appointed to represent the general public for a term expiring December 31, 2014. She succeeds Jerry D. Campbell whose term has expired.
The duties of the Central Michigan University Board of Control include general supervision of the university and control of direction of all expenditures from the university's funds.
These appointments are subject to Section 6 of Article V of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. They stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Michigan Senate within 60 days.
