Governor Granholm Announces Appointment of Janet Boes to 10th Circuit Court

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Janet Boes as Judge of the 10th Circuit Court, which serves Saginaw County, for a term expiring January 1, 2011. She replaces Judge Lynda Heathscott who has resigned.
Boes, of Saginaw, most recently served as assistant prosecuting attorney in Saginaw County. Previously, she served as associate attorney with Braun Kendrick Finkbeiner P.L.C. law firm. She is a founding board member of United for Kids - Children's Assessment Center, past president of AFSCME Local 1124, and former board member of the Saginaw Child Abuse and Neglect Council.
Boes earned her law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law and her bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo.
This appointment is not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.
