Governor Announces Appointment of Sabaugh as Judge of 37th District Court

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Matthew Sabaugh as judge of the 37th District Court, which serves the cities of Warren and Center Line, for a term expiring January 1, 2011. He replaces Judge Walter Jakubowski, Jr. who has resigned.
Sabaugh, of Warren, most recently served as assistant prosecutor with Macomb County. He is a mentor participant with "2000 for 2000: Michigan's Mentoring Initiative" and a member of the Detroit Zoological Society.
Sabaugh earned his law degree from Detroit College of Law and his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University.
This appointment is not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.
