LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointments and reappointment to the Michigan Strategic Fund board of directors:
Mitchell A. Mondry of Bloomfield Hills, president of M Group, LLC, is appointed to represent persons within the private sector with experience in private equity or venture capital investments, commercial lending, or commercialization of technology for a term expiring December 31, 2011. He succeeds Jayprakash Shah whose term has expired.
James G. Petcoff of Birmingham, member of North Pointe Financial Services, LLC, is appointed as a nominee of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, representing persons within the private sector with experience in private equity or venture capital investments, commercial lending, or commercialization of technology for a term expiring December 31, 2012. He succeeds Jeffrey Leithauser whose term has expired.
Paul E. Hodges, III of Orchard Lake, technology investor, is reappointed as a nominee of the Senate Majority Leader, representing persons within the private sector with experience in private equity or venture capital investments, commercial lending, or commercialization of technology for a term expiring December 31, 2012.
The Michigan Strategic Fund board of directors serves as the state's lead business development and finance agency.
These appointments are subject to Article V, Section 6 of the Michigan State Constitution of 1963. They stand confirmed unless disapproved by the Senate within 60 days.
