Governor Announces Judicial Appointment to 57th District Court

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointment to the 57th District Court:
William Baillargeon of Saugatuck, most recently judge of the 48th Circuit Court, former magistrate for the Workers' Compensation Board of Magistrates, and former senior trial specialist with the law offices of Paula J. Martin/CNA Insurance Company, is appointed as judge of the 57th District Court, which serves Allegan County, for a term expiring January 1, 2011. He replaces Judge Stephen Sheridan who has resigned. Baillargeon earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and received his bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
These appointments are not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.
