Office of State Employer, AFSCME Council 25 Reach Tentative Agreement

LANSING - The Office of the State Employer (OSE) and Michigan Council 25, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME Council 25), AFL-CIO have reached a tentative agreement to achieve AFSCME Council 25's share of $50 million in employee savings assumed in the FY 2010 state budget.
The AFSCME Council 25 represents approximately 2,000 state employees in the institutional unit, primarily employed in the departments of Community Health, Corrections, and Military and Veteran Affairs, who provide direct care services.
The tentative agreement is subject to ratification by the membership and will be presented for a vote during the upcoming weeks.
