Office of State Employer and United Auto Workers Reach Tentative Agreement

LANSING - The Office of the State Employer (OSE) and United Auto Workers International Union Local 6000 have reached a tentative agreement to achieve UAW Local 6000's share of $50 million in employee savings assumed in the FY 2010 state budget.

The UAW Local 6000 represents approximately 17,000 state employees in the Administrative Support and Human Services Units with employees in every state department.  

The tentative agreement is subject to ratification by the membership and will be presented for a vote during the upcoming weeks.
