LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today issued the following statement on Congressman Sander Levin becoming chairman of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee:
"Today is a great day as one of Michigan's most tireless advocates, Sandy Levin, becomes leader of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee. Congressman Levin has always been a leader in the areas of job creation, economic development, trade policy, and health care. Michigan and the entire country will be well-served by Congressman Levin heading this important committee, and I congratulate him on his new role."
