Granholm Appoints Debbrecht Judge of 51st District Court

LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the appointment of Jodine "Jodi" Debbrecht as judge of the 51st District Court for a term expiring January 1, 2013.  She replaces Judge Phyllis McMillen who was appointed to the 6th Circuit Court (Oakland County). 

Debbrecht, of Waterford, most recently served as magistrate/court administrator for the 45A District Court.  Previously, she served as an assistant prosecutor for Macomb County.  Her civic activities include spearheading Lids for Kids, a group that collects and distributes bicycle helmets for children. 

Debbrecht earned her law degree and bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri. 

This appointment is not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.
