LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the following appointment to the Detroit - Wayne County Port Authority:
Fred Hoffman of Dearborn economic development and special projects advisor to Governor Jennifer M. Granholm, is appointed for a term expiring September 30, 2014. He succeeds William C. McConico who was appointed Judge of the 36th District Court.
The Authority is responsible for acquiring, construction, reconstructing, rehabilitating, improving, maintaining, leasing as a lessor or as a lessee, repairing or operating port facilities within its territorial jurisdiction.
This appointment is not subject to disapproval by the Michigan Senate.
