LANSING - Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today issued the following statement on Senator Debbie Stabenow's appointment as chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee:  

"I congratulate Senator Stabenow on becoming the next chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee.  She will be a strong leader and advocate for Michigan's agricultural community, which is critical to the future of our state's economy."
