Snyder appoints members to the Michigan Economic Growth Authority Board

LANSING, MI - Governor Rick Snyder today announced appointments the Michigan Economic Growth Authority Board.

Michigan Economic Growth Authority Board
Andy Dillon, State Treasurer, Steve Hilfinger, director of the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth, Michael Finney, Michigan Economic Development Cooperation president and CEO, and John Nixon, Budget Director, will serve at the pleasure of the governor.

  • Dillion served as the former Speaker of the House. Before that, he was president of Detroit Steel Company and vice-president of GE Capital.
  • Hilfinger is managing partner of the Detroit office of Foley & Lardner, LLP. He is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Detroit Chapter.
  • Michael Finney served as president of an Ann Arbor SPARK, a public-private partnership focused on economic development. He previously served as president and CEO of Greater Rochester Enterprise.
  • Nixon previously served as executive director/state budget Director for the Utah Governor's Office of Planning and Budget. He serves as president of the National Association of State Budget Officers.
