LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today appointed Kevin McNeilly to the Governor's Traffic Safety Advisory Commission.

The commission works to address traffic safety issues.

"Kevin's background in the construction industry and traffic safety experience will play a key role on the commission as it works to keep Michigan drivers safe," Snyder said.

McNeilly, of Mason, is co-owner of Spartan Barricading, a Holt based company that provides road construction signage in the mid-Michigan area. He has 35 years of experience with the company. McNeilly fills a vacancy for a term expiring at the pleasure of the governor. His appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
