Snyder appoints member to Board of Nursing Home Administrators
September 07, 2011
LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today appointed Jeanne Smith to the Michigan Board of Nursing Home Administrators.
The board licenses and regulates nursing home administrators in Michigan.
"The goal of the board is to continue to provide Michigan's citizens with the highest quality care and service. I am confident Jeanne will be an outstanding asset to the board and to the people of our state," Snyder said.
Smith, of Lake Orion, is a nursing home administrator for Woodward Hills Nursing Center in Bloomfield Hills. She also serves as a regional director for Premier Health Care and has 24 years of experience in the nursing home industry. Smith holds a Nursing Home Administrators' license and studied at Oakland Community College and Madonna University.
Smith represents nursing home administrators and replaces Karen Messick. She will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring June 30, 2014, and her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
