Governor signs tax clarification bills into law

LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder on Tuesday signed more than a dozen bills needed to clarify changes to the new Corporate Income Tax approved as part of the state budget agreement.

The clean-up bills, which are mostly technical in nature, better define terms, correct drafting errors and update references that point to other portions of statute.

House Bill 4946, sponsored by state Rep. Jud Gilbert, is now P.A. 170.
