Snyder makes appointment to Manufactured Housing Commission
May 15, 2012
LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of William Stamer, of Auburn Hills, to the Manufactured Housing Commission.
The nine-member commission regulates all phases of manufactured housing and housing parks.
"I am confident William's expertise will help ensure Michiganders have safe and reliable homes," said Snyder.
Stamer is vice president of product engineering for Champion Home Builders Inc. Previously, he served as owner and president of Stamer Engineering. Stamer is a licensed professional engineer and holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Iowa. He will represent manufacturers of mobile homes and replaces David Hagey, who resigned.
Stamer will serve the remainder of a three-year term that expires May 9, 2013, and his appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
