Appointment made to Board of Massage Therapy
August 06, 2012
LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Teresa "Tracy" Rivard, of Bloomfield Hills, to the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy.
The 11-member board assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs in overseeing the practice of massage therapists.
"I am grateful for Tracy's willingness to serve the people of Michigan on this board," said Snyder.
Rivard is the director of project management and business development for Detroit Public Television. Previously, she worked as senior account manager for Clear Channel in Dallas and Detroit and as the national director for Metro Networks in Dallas. Rivard holds a bachelor's degree in communications and marketing from Western Michigan University. She will represent the general public and fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Bridgett Lomax.
Rivard will serve the remainder of a four-year term that expires December 31, 2015, and her appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
