Appointment made to Natural Resources Trust Fund Board

LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Brad Canale, of Ann Arbor, to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund Board.
The five-member board provides financial assistance to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and local governments to purchase land or land rights for public recreation, and to assist in the development of public outdoor recreation projects.
"Brad brings decades of leadership experience to this post, and I am confident he will do great work to enhance Michigan's public recreational land resources," said Snyder.
Canale is executive director of advancement for the University of Michigan's College of Engineering, where he was worked for 30 years. Previously, Canale served as the college's campaign director and director of development. In 2008, he received the college's Judith A. Pitney Career Service Award. Canale holds a bachelor's degree in general studies from the University of Michigan. He replaces Frank Torre.
Canale will serve a four-year term that expires Oct. 1, 2016, and his appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
