Snyder makes appointment to State Boundary Commission
November 30, 2012
LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of David Doyle, of Okemos, to the State Boundary Commission.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the State Boundary Commission considers petitions at adjudicative sessions and public hearings, and evaluates statutory criteria and evidence submitted on the record. The three-member board has the authority to recommend approval or denial of a petition.
"David brings years of exceptional experience to this board and I am thankful for his willingness to serve," said Snyder.
Doyle is executive vice president of Marketing Resource Group Inc., a position he has held since 1995. Previously, he served as chairman of the Michigan Republican State Committee and held various leadership positions in the Michigan State Senate and House of Representatives. Doyle holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Oakland University, where he formerly served as a member of the board of trustees. He replaces Cameron Priebe.
Doyle will serve a three-year term that expires Nov. 15, 2015, and his appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
