LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Thomas Thelen, of Westphalia, to the Residential Builders' and Maintenance and Alteration Contractors' Board.

"Thomas brings more than 30 years of residential and commercial construction experience to the board," said Snyder. "He is a great choice for this post and I am thankful for his willingness to serve."
Thelen is owner of Benjamin Thomas Carpentry LLC. He previously served as a carpenter foreman for DSI Acoustical and Bouma Interiors. Thelen studied building and architecture at Lansing Community College, and holds a Michigan maintenance and alterations contractor license.
