February 14, 2013
LANSING, Mich. - Gov. Rick Snyder today reappointed John Schrock, of Grand Ledge, to the Data Collection Agency Governing Board.
The eight-person board determines workers' compensation data requirements for establishing workers' disability compensation insurance rates.
"John has effectively served and I am confident he will continue to do great work in this role," said Snyder.
Schrock brings more than 25 years of state government experience to the board. He is the administrator of the Self-Insured Programs Division for the Workers' Compensation Agency within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. Previously, Schrock worked for Crawford & Co. in Escanaba, where he oversaw the handling of liability, bond, property and workers' compensation claims, and conducted and supervised investigations. He holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Northern Michigan University.
Schrock will represent the executive branch of state government and serve a one-year term that expires Dec. 31, 2013. His appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
