Snyder makes appointment to Talent Investment Board
August 20, 2013
LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Chris Warren, of Traverse City, to the Governor’s Talent Investment Board.
The board, created in 2011, is housed within the Workforce Development Agency of the Michigan Economic Development Corp. The 47-member panel assists and advises the governor on compliance with the federal Workforce Investment Act and overall talent development.
“I thank Chris for his willingness to serve on this board,” Snyder said.
Warren is general manager of WTCM Radio and is a board member and corporate controller of Midwestern Broadcasting Co. He also serves on the board of The Les and Anne Biederman Foundation. Warren holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Michigan. Warren will represent businesses in Michigan and replaces Nancy Ayres.
Warren will serve a term expiring at the pleasure of the governor, and his appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the state Senate.
