LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Louie Boji, of Orchard Lake, to the Michigan Education Trust board of directors.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Treasury, the nine-person board administers and oversees the Michigan Education Trust, the state’s 529 prepaid tuition program. The board also serves in an advisory capacity for the Michigan Education Savings Program.
“Louie has been a valuable board member and I thank him for his continued service,” Snyder said.
Boji is the founder and managing member of the Boji Group. He also has experience providing management and financial expertise to grocery and party stores. He has developed two retail centers, with more than 200,000 square feet of retail space. Since 1998, he has been primarily involved in the development, ownership and management of real estate with the Boji Group. Boji earned a law degree from the University of Baghdad. He will continue to represent persons with knowledge, skills, and experience in the academic, business, or financial fields.
Boji will serve a three-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2016, and his appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
