Snyder makes appointment to Board of Acupuncture

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Jonathan Zaidan, of Bloomfield Hills, to the Michigan Board of Acupuncture.

Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the 13-member board oversees the licensure and practice of acupuncture.

“Jonathan brings a wealth of experience to the board and I thank him for his service,” Snyder said.

Zaidan is the president and owner of Women’s Healthcare Associates PLLC. He serves as president of Women’s Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Women’s Excellence in Bladder Control, Women’s Excellence in Endometriosis, and Women’s Excellence in Midwifery. Zaidan is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Zaidan earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a medical doctorate from Wayne State University. He received his post-graduate training at Rush Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center.He represents physicians licensed under Part 170 or 175 and replaces John Pappas.

Zaidan will serve a four-year term to expire June 30, 2018. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
